Astro member and actor Cha Eun-woo was not too long ago baptised into the Catholic church, his company Fantagio mentioned on July 2.
The company mentioned that Cha obtained the baptismal title John the Apostle throughout a baptism ceremony held at a Catholic church whereas serving within the navy in June.
In Korea, throughout navy service, enlisted troopers could attend spiritual companies held in every unit division.
Participation is voluntary, and any serving soldier, no matter their earlier spiritual affiliation, could attend a unique church or temple throughout private time on weekends or holidays.
Cha enlisted in July 2025 and is serving within the Ministry of Nationwide Protection navy band, the Fanfare Detachment. He’s set to be launched on Jan 27, 2027.
