Wealthy Peppiatt’s extremely anticipated Netflix-backed interval story Dangerous Bridgets has added a raft of high-profile solid members forward of its shoot this July.
Colin Farrell (Banshees of Inisherin), Steve Coogan (Philomena), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Issues), Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), Himesh Patel (Yesterday), Niamh Algar (The Iris Affair) and Simone Kirby ((Kneecap) are becoming a member of beforehand introduced leads Emilia Jones and Alison Oliver.
Impressed by the ebook ‘Dangerous Bridget: Crime, Mayhem, and the Lives of Irish Emigrant Ladies’ by teachers Elaine Farrell and Leanne McCormick, it follows a younger Irish lady’s adventures when she seeks a brand new life in New York.
The logline reads: “When a mysterious letter providing escape leads a younger Irish lady to Nineteenth-century New York, she is pulled into the unruly world of the Bridgets, the place mayhem follows in her wake.”
‘Dangerous Bridget” is a time period coined by Farrell and McCormick for the impoverished Irish women and girls who travelled to the U.S. and Canada searching for a brand new life and infrequently discovered themselves on the flawed aspect of the legislation as they struggled to outlive.
Peppiatt, who received a Bafta for 2024 breakout Kneecap, can be producing beneath the Coup d’Etat Movies banner, his joint Belfast-based firm with producer Trevor Birney, with Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap. Cáit Collins is government producing.
